Flexibility Training

“I define flexibility as the ability of a properly prepared joint or series of joints to move or be moved with control and safety through a range of motion appropriate for the optimal performance of an activity to be undertaken. Put more simply, your flexibility should be measured against what you intend to do, after you warm up.”

Orthopedic Surgeon Charles Kenny, MD

In 2008, I had an opportunity to have one-on-one time to study and train with Orthopedic Surgeon Charles Kenny, MD, author of the book Natural Flexibility. In 2010, I acquired my certification as a Natural Flexibility Trainer, currently the only trainer under Dr. Kenny in the country, and I have been incorporating Flexibility Training in my work with clients to help them increase flexibility, strength, balance and control.

For nearly 20 years, as a Massage Therapist, I have used my professional skills to help individuals improve their ability to move with ease and reduce the effects of stress in tense and tired muscles.

Flexibility Training, as either an athlete or a non-athlete, will help you:

  • reduce the risk of injury
  • improve muscle function
  • increase your endurance
  • move with less pain

Flexibility Training, as an older individual, will help you:

  • take control of your health by improving balance to prevent falls
  • increase your mobility
  • enhance your fitness activity

After a customized Flexibility Training program, Ideal Flexibility offers the ability to schedule time for individual and group Flexibility Training to help you maintain your improved levels of flexibility, strength, balance, and control.
